Relive Peloton Homecoming 2021

88 classes, 13 panels, one community.

For Peloton Homecoming 2021, we went big (because we’re already home), and celebrated together, wherever. Over the first weekend in May, our Members and instructors around the world united in an uplifting celebration of the Peloton community. Through 88 special Homecoming classes, panels with global superstars of sport and music, chats with some of our Tags and one-on-one Member Meets—all virtual!—we were once again blown away by the power and passion of our community coming together across oceans and time zones, on the Leaderboard and off. There was an extra-special undercurrent to this Homecoming, though, because while we couldn’t all be together in the same physical space, the love and pride each of us felt in our own homes resounded through the hearts of Peloton Members worldwide. We were reminded that this community isn’t just connected by a shared interest—this community is a family.

Let’s take a look at some of the highlights from Homecoming weekend. Relive any of these moments on our YouTube channel, and by clicking each link below.

FRIDAY 4/30

It all kicked off with a keynote address from Peloton’s CEO and Co-Founder, John Foley. With gratitude for our Members and the global bond we’ve strengthened over the past year, John unveiled new features that our community’s been asking for, including:

  • Refreshed Scenic Classes: all-new Distance, Guided and Time-Based content in destinations that take your workout to a whole new world.

  • New Programs: a completely reimagined experience from start to finish, with a progress bar and badges for the taking along the way—plus new classes exclusive to Programs, designed and led by your favorite instructors.

  • Strive Score: introducing this personal, noncompetitive metric based on your heart rate, designed to give you an easy way to compare performance across workouts and disciplines. And…

  • ...The pause button is coming. You read that right! You’ll soon be able to pause any on-demand class from your touchscreen, so you can unclip to pick up that dropped towel without missing a beat.

Shortly after, instructor Ally Love and Grammy Award-winning artist (and Peloton Member!) USHER took over the main stage to talk all things fitness, wellness, music, dance and more. Following that, Ally was joined by fellow instructor Emma Lovewell to reflect on the conversation...and okay, fangirl a little bit.

The first day of Homecoming ended with a candid, heartfelt panel with the Tag #FeelGoodLookGood, led by none other than Alex Toussaint and two Members, who brought the good vibes and gratitude from the Bike straight into this conversation.

SATURDAY 5/1

The day two party started across the Atlantic with a community chat between German instructor Cliff Dwenger and Members, who discussed the power of building a sense of unity at Peloton—and what goes into creating the perfect class (and playlist!). This conversation is presented in German.

Back stateside, Peloton’s Head of Global Marketing Dara Treseder led a candid conversation on the powerful role that fitness, mental health and community can play in advancing antiracism. Featuring a panel of leaders including instructor Tunde Oyeneyin and our social impact partners GirlTrek, The Steve Fund and Dr. Ibram X. Kendi's Center for Antiracist Research, this event is one to revisit often.

We then got the opportunity to learn more about our newest yoga instructors Kirra Michel, Nico Sarani and Mariana Fernández. We heard their stories, learned about what motivates them and were clued in on what to expect in their classes.

We all know why we love Peloton...but Matt Wilpers sat down with the seven experts on our Health and Wellness Advisory Council to get the details on exactly how Peloton is beneficial to our overall wellbeing. Learn more about how Peloton utilizes this council to help inform how we develop features and content with your health and wellness in mind.

Saturday wrapped up with an organic discussion between instructor-moms Jenn Sherman, Christine D’Ercole and Kristin McGee, and Members from the Tags #PelotonMoms and #WorkingMomsofPeloton. Listen in for honest anecdotes about modern mothering and how “Mom’s Peloton time” is a boost for the whole family.

SUNDAY 5/2

The sun rose on the final day of Homecoming in Germany, with instructor Erik Jäger sharing insights into creating a routine and avoiding mistakes as a Peloton newbie. This conversation is presented in German!

Following the announcement that Ben Alldis is our newly-minted Power Zone instructor, he sat down with fellow Power Zone instructor Matt Wilpers and Members of the #PowerZonePack Tag to geek out on FTP testing, setting benchmarks and optimizing your training habits.

You’re in the presence of greatness during any Peloton class, but in our Legends Live panel, instructor Becs Gentry spoke with legendary world track stars who also frequent the Leaderboard: Usain Bolt, Allyson Felix and Scout Bassett. Hear about how Peloton plays a part in their training routines, what keeps them motivated and how they’re just like us in more ways than you’d think.

“When we go deeply into ourselves, we discover tools and resiliency we didn't know we had.” This gem is just one snippet of wisdom offered up in a conversation between instructor Anna Greenberg and Jewel—a Peloton Member, songwriter, poet, wellness expert and artist. The pair discussed vulnerability, mental health and healing, and how fitness weaves through it all. Plus, a magical musical moment to cap it all off.

We waved goodbye to Homecoming in the most vibrant way imaginable, in a panel discussion between Members of the #PelotonPride Tag and instructors Jess King and Cody Rigsby. This free-flowing conversation spanned anecdotes about identity, impactful LGBTQ+ icons and allyship.
