Exciting Changes to our App + Updated Workout History

We’re excited to announce the launch of our new and improved iPhone and iPad app (free for bike owners)! With brand-new features and combined capabilities with the Peloton bike, the new app is designed to give you a fully comprehensive fitness experience wherever you go.

Workout History

For the first time, any ride or Beyond the Ride workout taken on the app will be counted and logged in your workout history, so every time you sweat, you can see your total increase. Previously only viewable on the Peloton bike and web, your workout history will now also be viewable on the app so you can track your progress anywhere, anytime.

And, since we’re continuing to offer more yoga and Beyond the Ride workouts in addition to our original cycling classes, we have also updated your history to differentiate between rides and off-the-bike workouts. This will allow for a clearer and more accurate view of your accomplishments. Here’s the new breakdown:

  • Cycling classes taken on the Peloton bike will now be counted as Peloton Bike Rides.

  • Cycling classes taken on the iOS app and all Beyond the Ride workouts will now be counted as Other Workouts,

  • A new Total Workouts count will show your entire Peloton workout history, incorporating all workouts, both on and off the bike (the combined total of Peloton Bike Rides and Other Workouts).

Due to these changes, if you have completed a Beyond the Ride workout on your bike, that workout will now be logged under Other Workouts as opposed to the previous Lifetime Rides count. While this means you may see a change in your workout history breakdown, your new Total Workouts count will still incorporate all completed Peloton Bike Rides and Other Workouts combined. Family Sharing

Now everyone who has access to your Peloton bike can have access to your app! Using the same login information used on the bike, your family members can use the app on their iPhones and iPads to enjoy the same high-energy workouts even outside the home. You can now even add additional new users to your account directly from the app, just like you would on the bike.

Classes can be taken on your app account by up to three users at a time, which means you can ride together and race to the finish line.

Class Collections

Previously only available on the bike, you can now access our highlighted class collections on the app. Featuring curated classes categorized by themes, instructors and more, these collections allow you to find the right workouts to fit your every mood.
