TV Producer and Peloton Member Shonda Rhimes teams up with Peloton to create an 8-week “Year of Yes” class collection, and she’s inviting Members to come along with her.
The Collection spans multiple fitness disciplines and is accessible to athletes at all levels, designed and led by Peloton instructors Robin Arzon, Tunde Oyeneyin, Adrian Williams, Jess Sims and Chelsea Jackson Roberts.
Work out 4 times per week, for 10-20 minutes each class, live or on demand. Stay tuned on social media for roundtable conversations between Shonda and the instructors throughout the 8-week journey.

In fitness and in life, we’re all writing our own stories, and no one knows that better than the prolific TV producer Shonda Rhimes. A Peloton Member herself, Shonda is taking ownership of her narrative in 2021 and diving deep into her “Year of Yes” approach to life. While 2020 put a halt on many things in our lives, we’re kicking off the new year by creating our own “yes” moments—and we can start with fitness.
Like any of the iconic characters that Shonda has created, we’re all nuanced and possess the ability to surpass the limitations of our own imaginations. This year, Shonda is stepping into her power as an athlete because from her perspective, the act of working out is a practice for building resilience, strength and self-belief—a philosophy that holds true for the Peloton community as well. Storytelling and community are central tenets of Shonda’s production company, Shondaland, and she’s excited to partner with us, as a company whose values are so closely aligned with her own.
The Year of Yes 8-Week Class Experience
That’s why Shonda is inviting Peloton Members everywhere to join her in experiencing the power of showing up for yourself consistently, in order to bring forth that energy in all areas of your life. Alongside Shonda, count yourself in for 8 weeks of Peloton classes designed and led by instructors Robin Arzón, Tunde Oyeneyin, Adrian Williams, Jess Sims and Chelsea Jackson Roberts. Starting on Monday 12/14, carve out just 10-20 minutes, 4 times a week for live or on-demand “Year of Yes” classes as it suits your schedule. Accessible to people at all stages of their fitness journey—even those just starting out!—the collection will include classes in cycling, walk + runs, strength and meditation. The ultimate goal? Overcome our fears, build our confidence and get stronger along the way. We’re saying “yes” to becoming athletes!
Each of the eight weeks will follow a theme, like the beats of a story that will take you through a journey to your most powerful self. From discussing self-care as a form of activism to unlocking the unknown, these themes will be introduced in class and the conversation will continue on social media in roundtable chats between Shonda and the instructors throughout the eight weeks. You’ll be notified when the classes are about to air live so you can be on the Leaderboard with Shonda and your fellow Peloton Members, or you can find the classes on demand and in the “Year of Yes” Collection.
