There’s no shortcut to becoming a better runner. Well, until now. Today, we’re introducing the new Peloton Tread Vision, designed to track your running form and advance your progress for a smarter workout.

But this launch isn’t just about new hardware. We’re also adding new features designed to create a highly personalised Tread experience—bringing more variety and intelligent training tools to the equipment you already own.

What Are the New Peloton Software Features?

Whether you’re stepping onto a brand-new Peloton Tread Vision or booting up the Tread you’ve loved for years, this year’s updates deliver software enhancements designed to take the guesswork out of your training. Four of these software tools—Heart Rate Zone Workouts, IQ Pace Targets, Shortcuts, and ReRuns—are rolling out to all Treads, while a fifth feature, Run Analysis, is coming exclusively to the new Tread Vision.*

These updates will be available to all All-Access Members in supported markets and will start rolling out gradually on 1 October, 2026. On launch day, if you don't see the new features on your display right away, check out our support guide on how to update your device.

Here is a look at the new features coming to you:

IQ Pace Targets

All those questions about whether you’re pushing hard enough (or holding back too much) are a thing of the past. IQ Pace Targets replace static pace levels with custom target pace ranges that adapt over time. Peloton IQ will analyse your recent running performance to deliver pace ranges tailored specifically to your fitness level. When there’s a new pace recommendation, you’ll see it pop up before a running class starts and you can choose to accept the suggestion or stay with the pace level you previously selected. As your performance improves, your pace targets evolve right alongside you, ensuring you're always training at your personal happy pace.

Heart Rate Zone Workouts

So much has been documented about the benefits of working out in Zone 2 to improve your endurance, overall stamina, and ability to recover. This year we’re introducing non-instructed, Zone 2 workout plans to the Just Guidance or Entertainment experience. When you connect your heart rate monitor, smartwatch, or wearable, the Tread guides you through a workout with real-time target feedback to keep you in the target zone.

These plans will give you instant, in-the-moment feedback to adjust your effort so you can keep your heart rate locked into the ideal zone. Heart rate zone workouts will be available for all Bike and Tread hardware.

Shortcuts

Training should be about focusing on your stride, not struggling with buttons. With shortcuts, your on-screen controls will automatically surface speed and incline options right when your instructor cues them and they’ll now reflect your pace target ranges. One quick tap of the screen instantly adjusts your Tread to the recommended setting, making your speed and incline transitions effortless.

ReRuns

Love your local running route? Now you can bring it indoors anytime. ReRuns is a new running experience that lets you upload and replay your favourite outdoor miles by syncing the distance, and elevation data from the Peloton app or your smartwatch. Your Tread automatically adjusts its incline to follow the real-world elevation changes of your neighbourhood loop or race course, letting you relive your best outdoor runs on your own schedule. And if you don’t have any outdoor routes ready to sync, you can access a library of Peloton provided routes from the Peloton New York and London run clubs.

Run Analysis

When you’re logging high-mileage weeks, even minor technical flaws can impact your performance. That’s why we’re introducing Run Analysis, powered by Peloton IQ and our built-in movement-tracking camera. As you run, the camera automatically measures your cadence, vertical oscillation, and stride length in real time. At the end of your workout, you’ll get a personal check-up with your own Running Efficiency Score, measured on a scale of 1–100. This score helps you understand how effectively your form converts effort into forward motion, with actionable tips to help you run smarter and improve efficiency so you can go farther faster. Run Analysis is only available on the new Peloton Tread Vision.

What’s new about the Peloton Tread Vision?

Peloton Tread Vision includes our movement-tracking camera, enabling intelligent strength training features like form feedback and rep tracking, as well as the new Run Analysis feature mentioned above.

At first glance, Peloton Tread Vision might look like the treadmill you know, but we’ve made improvements at every touchpoint—the screen, the tray, the control knobs, and the deck—to create a more comfortable running experience. We’ve added our 23.8" Swivel Screen for an immersive, studio-quality experience, complete with higher-quality audio tuned by Sonos and an integrated fan to keep you cool. We’ve even redesigned the tray to maximise storage for your phone, tablet, and water bottle.

There’s real magic happening beneath your feet, too. Peloton Tread Vision features new deck cushioning with improved dampeners for a softer stride and lighter impact. To make speed intervals and steep hill shifts more seamless, we’ve introduced jump buttons, letting you instantly tap to the next or previous speed or incline number without ever breaking your stride.

Peloton Tread Vision vs. Cross Training Tread

The Peloton Tread Vision is a major leap forward. It features the movement tracking camera, upgraded deck cushioning, tactile jump buttons for rapid adjustments, an integrated cooling fan, and front-facing Sonos audio.

You can test-run the new Peloton Tread Vision at your local Peloton store or authorized retailer near you.

What’s coming next?

Coming Spring 2027: Introducing the Foldable Peloton Tread Flex

Built to perform, it hits speeds of up to 12.5 mph and inclines up to 12.5%, matching the capability of Peloton Tread Vision. It also features our classic knobs with a center button for intuitive, precise control during your walks and runs.
