Peloton and David Jones Announce Strategic Retail Partnership Enabling More Australians to Access Connected Fitness

Peloton, the world’s leading interactive fitness platform that pioneered connected, technology-enabled fitness, has announced a new partnership with Australia’s premium department store, David Jones.
The retail partnership will see Peloton’s premium showroom design in bespoke installations located on the shop floors of David Jones’ flagship stores in Sydney and Melbourne. These one-off, in store experiences are designed to complement Peloton’s own landmark showrooms due to be launched as COVID-19 restrictions ease around the country.
Peloton launched in Australia in July 2021 with the Peloton Bike, Bike+ and the Peloton App. The David Jones installations will be a first for the Australian retail landscape, offering customers the chance to experience Peloton’s unique combination of the best-in-class hardware, software, content and community, which is now over 5.9 million Members strong.
The first Peloton installation opens today in David Jones’ Elizabeth St Sydney store, boasting a 25.7 sq m area, with a further two Peloton installations to open in David Jones’ Bourke Street and Chadstone Melbourne stores.
At all installations, Peloton’s suite of connected fitness products will be featured, including the Peloton Bike and Peloton Bike+. Customers will have the opportunity to experience a personalised product walkthrough and live demonstration from a Peloton Expert, and see why the Peloton experience is like no other.

Local pricing and availability
Aussies are able to purchase the Peloton Bike and the Peloton Bike+ at the new installations, online, or via Peloton’s Inside Sales team who can be reached through a dedicated chatbot on the Peloton website. For those interested in a personalised product walkthrough with a Peloton Expert and live demonstration to experience the Peloton Bikes firsthand, appointments at David Jones Elizabeth St can also be made online.
David Jones COVID-19 safety information
In line with NSW Government regulations, all customers visiting David Jones who are over 16 years of age must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or have a valid medical exemption. Customers must be ready to show evidence of vaccination status or medical exemption if they wish to enter the store.
Upon arrival, customers must check in via the NSW Health QR code and sign into the store visitor system (VCM) if required. Additionally, David Jones customers must be wearing masks at all times when in the store. Increased sanitisation stations will be available and social distancing protocols will apply.
Peloton Australia’s Journey
Peloton Australia’s July launch saw the introduction of the Bike, Bike+ and App products that are loved by millions around the world.
Peloton offers content across 10+ fitness disciplines including indoor cycling, running (outdoor and indoor), cardio, strength, yoga and more. Australian consumers can choose from thousands of game-changing workouts with real-time motivation and curated playlists featuring their favourite artists, including Beyoncé, Spice Girls, and The Beatles.
Peloton looks forward to announcing the opening dates of its physical showrooms across key Australian locations, including Martin Place and Bondi Junction in Sydney, followed by Melbourne.
