Tread is our more compact treadmill. It has a 15% smaller footprint than the Tread+ and has a standard running belt, whereas the Tread+ features a slat belt. Tread+ hosts a larger 23.8” HD swivel screen and comes with Sonos-tuned speakers, a fan, accessories tray, and a movement-tracking camera to track your reps and deliver form analysis. The hands-free control on Tread+ helps you start or pause a class, record your weight, and take control of your workout with your voice.

Tread+ slat-belt is composed of 59 individual rubberized slats, attached to a motor. This is a feature found on ultra-premium treadmills, and allows for a springier step, more cushion, and less impact on the knees and other joints, pushing you forward while you focus on your effort.

• Slat belts are most commonly found in commercial settings, like gyms or training facilities. For residential use, competitors are similarly priced or more expensive.
• The slat belt also allows you to use Free Mode, which turns off the belt’s motor and allows you to control the speed and movement of the belt with your stride

The Limited Warranty offered by Peloton fully covers the treadmill touchscreen and most original components for up to 12 months, the Tread+ drive motor, walking belt, and Tread+ frame for up to 5 years. Replacement parts covered under warranty can only be shipped to Canada in provinces where Peloton equipment is sold (restrictions may apply in remote areas). Please note, the warranty is voided and service and repairs are not offered if the Tread+ is moved outside of Canada. See terms.

To prepare for a quick and seamless delivery of your Tread+, it’s recommended to clear the access route from the entrance of your delivery location to your room of choice as well as the final set up area for the treadmill. We strongly recommend positioning your Tread+ in a room with extra space, so you can work out both on and off the Tread+.

In order to save time and to start working out right away once the delivery is complete, set up your Peloton user account prior to the delivery of your Tread+. You can do this by visiting members.onepeloton.ca as soon as you’ve placed your order, logging in using the same email address you used to purchase your Tread+. This allows for greater energy return, up to 64% of the energy in each step, resulting in more spring in each step. It provides more cushioning and lower impact on the knees and other joints than a traditional treadmill, and offers a sense of propulsion.

The slat belt on Tread+ also allows you to use Free Mode, which turns off the belt’s motor and allows you to control the speed and movement of the belt with your stride. Free Mode offers a higher calorie burn and more challenging workout than traditional treadmill workouts.

We recommend a room with at least 24" of space to the left, right and front of the Tread, and 79" of space to the back for storing and training. The ceiling height minimum is 24" greater than the user’s height.

Peloton IQ provides training and insights designed to personalize every workout. Peloton IQ is available on all Peloton devices, but its most advanced features (e.g. Movement Tracking) can only be experienced on the Cross Training Bike+, Tread+, and Row+. A Peloton All-Access Membership is required to access all Peloton content and applicable features on your Peloton hardware.

Free Mode turns off the slat belt’s motor and allows you to power Tread+ solely by your own muscles as you walk or run along the treadmill belt. It’s similar to manual mode on other treadmill products. This self-propelled mode option is great for households split on the benefits of motorized vs. non-motorized treadmills.

Free Mode can help elevate workouts when you’re looking for an additional challenge. The Cross Training Tread should be installed on a hard, flat, stable surface. Avoid carpets with a high pile. The Cross Training Tread+ should be installed on a solid, level surface and should avoid being used on any carpets.

Yes, you can install your Peloton treadmill in a garage or unfinished basement as long as there is an outlet you can connect it to. However, we recommend placing your Peloton treadmill in a temperature-controlled environment away from objects you can bump into. Your space should have 6’5” of space behind and 2’ on each side with 20” greater than the user’s height for the Tread and 24” greater than the user’s height for the Tread+. Additional clearance is recommended for bootcamp or other mat classes, though.

Your Peloton membership remains the same across products — there is no need to update your membership or subscription from one product to the other and it’s automatically supported on your new device.

Please note: All-Access Memberships can only be shared across products of different types (e.g. exercise bike and treadmill). In the case of having 2 products of the same type (e.g. Bike and Bike+) two separate All-Access Memberships are required.
