Peloton Launches Peloton History Summary To Support Second-Hand Bike Purchases

For second-hand Peloton Bike and Bike+ private purchases, select Members will now be able to access a Peloton History Summary directly from Peloton detailing certain metrics of the hardware’s history. To help future Members feel confident about the quality of their second-hand purchase, the summary can be used as a reference guide to understand a Peloton Bike or Bike+ history, including the approximate number of historical workouts, date of first activation, service visit history, number of previous owners, and more.

“Peloton History Summary is a demonstration of our commitment to transparency to all current and prospective Members,” said Amanda Shulman, Vice President of Emerging Business and Strategic Partnerships at Peloton. “Secondary market purchases have been growing steadily, and our intention is to provide all Members with the opportunity to easily review certain stats of the hardware ahead of purchase. We’ve curated our Peloton History Summary with insights we’ve learned are important to consumers when buying secondhand.”

Current and prospective Members alike can request a Peloton History Summary by submitting their Peloton Bike or Bike+ Serial Number here.  Current Members looking to sell their Bike or Bike+ can link their summary to their listing for buyers to view the information.  Buyers will need to request the bike’s Serial Number from the seller in order to request a summary themselves.

Peloton’s History Summary is in beta for the Bike and Bike+ solely in the US, UK, and Canada. While in beta, only select bikes qualify for a summary. We plan to extend eligibility in the future. To learn more, visit onepeloton.com/history-summary.
